Floruit

a period of flourishing

Floruit is a new collaborative project between myself and Ingeborg Zackariassen (dancer/choreographer/writer/creator), with whom I first started collaborating through the interdisciplinary art project magNetS in 2020. Our process is based on combining photography and text around a general theme or idea. During our collaboration the theme/idea is slowly being clarified, forming the final project. Although we have never physically met, we have found a way of communicating, concentrating on our common interests, and creating a common path.

This series explores the image of nature bordering the human environment, while expressing thoughts generated by the search of the small light sources in the darkness. Some of the poems are written as a response to the images, while other pieces are reworked memories from the past that were brought back through seeing the photographs. As a final result, image and text are presented as one.
